I don't want to give away too much, but there is a little talk of Willow. We wouldn't call it Willow 2, I think it would focus a lot on Elora Danan, although Willow would have to be significantly involved.
It makes a lot of sense. Any Willow sequel that went into production now would almost certainly need to be set decades after the original. At least if it expected to actually include the character played by Warwick Davis it would. As such, that also means that Elora Dana, the character who was as an infant in the first movie, will have grown up. Willow's plot revolved around a baby that was prophesized to defeat an evil queen, and while that has already taken place by the end of the movie, certainly anybody who did such a thing would continue to be an important person in the world. Elora Danan is the Harry Potter of her land, and she'd likely grow up with a lot of people expecting great things from her in much the same way. One also assumes that her connection to the man who saved her life would remain strong, which is why Willow as a character would remain important in a sequel.
Any serious fans of the Willow franchise know that there actually were sequels to the film already, in the form of a trilogy of novels written by Chris Claremont with George Lucas back in the 1990s. Those books did continue the story and saw Elora Danan grow up. However, it doesn't sound from what Ron Howard tells Comicbook.com that he's thinking of adapting those novels. This instead sounds like an entirely new idea, though one that simply goes in a similar direction.
It will be interesting to see what potentially comes of discussions around a Willow sequel. The original movie wasn't a massive hit, one of the reasons that theatrical sequels were never made, but it has certainly become a cult classic and as audiences have found the movie over time a strong following has built up around it, which perhaps means there are enough people interested in a sequel now that it could happen.

The horror genre is in a bit of a renaissance right now. Rather than stale franchises and torture porn, there are new and original horror movies hitting theaters every few months. Acclaimed director Steven Soderbergh is even getting in on the action, with his new psychological thriller Unsane. The film has been getting a ton of press for it being completely shot on an iPhone, but horror fans will also be pleased with its cast. Playing opposite The Crown's Claire Foy is actor Joshua Leonard, who is perhaps best known for his iconic role in 1999's The Blair Witch Project. I recently asked him what he thought of the state of the genre, especially in the wake of Get Out's recent Oscar win. The Unsane star told me,
I was so glad that Get Out got recognized, because it was as technically great and socially relevant and well written and executed as any of the other movies last year. I think it's another example of a film that plays as a traditional thriller, but also Trojan Horses its way into other issues that are socially relevant. And that's one of the great things from the genre. And I love that we're moving farther away from the slasher film and the kill count, to the opportunity to say something, but do it in a fun and scary way.
Joshua Leonard has seen the horror genre go in many places in the nearly 20 years since he made his debut in The Blair Witch Project, especially in the past few years. With Get Out having broken the door for horror movies to possibly become award fodder, it seems like the future is wide open for future thrillers to possibly get nominations.
Get Out is one of the most widely successful films of last year, and Jordan Peele's directorial debut quickly became a massive pop culture moment. The film tackled difficult issues of race, while also providing plenty of scares and fun for audiences. It's this tradition that Joshua Leonard seems to hope continues. Just because a movie is scary doesn't necessarily mean that it can't also have a message. Other than run away from danger.
Meanwhile, Unsane is tackling its own set of issues. The psychological thriller centers around a woman named Sawyer Valentini (Claire Foy) who is suffering from trauma related to her stalker (Joshua Leonard). In addition to bringing attention to issues revolving around mental health issues, it also seems to be making a statement about the mental health and system in the country. Sawyer is essentially tricked into being admitted, which may or may not have to do with her medical insurance's ability to pay for a week's stay.

New Secret Life Of Pets 2 Trailer Adds Harrison Ford's Epic Disdain
Harrison Ford is bringing his growling sarcasm to The Secret Life of Pets 2. Ford plays Rooster the dog in his first voice-acting role in an animated film. To promote the summer 2019 movie, Illumination has been giving characters their own trailers. This recent one is called "The Rooster Trailer" in honor of Ford's new character:
The turkey steals the whole thing! The two-minute trailer takes dogs Max (now voiced by Patton Oswalt) and Duke (Eric Stonestreet) on a road trip to the countryside. While Duke gets mocked by a cow, Max has a nighttime run-in with Harrison Ford's intimidating dog named Rooster.
Apparently this trailer takes place after the previous Max trailer set at a pet therapist's office. Max mentions the cone his therapist said he should wear. In this trailer, Rooster cuts Max's speech off by ripping the cone off his head, then dropping this line:
There. You're cured. Hallelujah.
Harrison Ford, everyone! The Secret Life of Pets 2 is clearly tapping into Harrison Ford's grumpy, sarcastic, and intimidating side -- as opposed to his charming rebel side, ala Han Solo or Indiana Jones. Or maybe we'll see that side come out in Rooster too. If only they had also cast Clint Eastwood to growl "Get off my lawn."

The Secret Life of Pets came out in 2016 and got fairly good reviews from both critics and fans. It also made $875,457,937 at the worldwide box office. That's off a reported production budget of $75 million, per Box Office Mojo, so it definitely made a tail-wag-worthy profit. It's no wonder a sequel is coming three years later. If this film also does well, we can probably expect another movie.
