What Bryce Dallas Howard Wants To See In Jurassic World 3
There are few film franchise quite as iconic as Jurassic Park. Everything from the CGI, the music, and the performances have made film history, with the current Jurassic World trilogy making tons of money at the box office. Director J. A. Bayona flipped the franchise on its head with this year's Fallen Kingdom, taking the action outside of the island, and changing the world. After Isla Nublar's destruction in the film's first act, the surviving dinosaurs were eventually set free on the mainland. Furthermore, human cloning is now in the table, given the chilling origin of Maisie. There's one more movie to complete the trilogy, and Bryce Dallas Howard recently shared what she's hoping for in the threequel, saying:
I think we're gonna be seeing these characters be faced with impossible choices to make, and circumstances beyond their wildest dreams and nightmares, where these animals are now a part of the world again. It's not just about a handful of dinosaurs that were able to be re-animated, and one hybrid dinosaur that is monstrous. Now, not only are the animals out there, but the technology is out there, as well. Who knows what people can create? I'm just really excited to see this imagined world changing.
Claire Dearing makes a serious point. The narrative opportunities opened in new and terrifying ways at the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Jurassic World 3 has some big concept to grapple with during is runtime. Now the question is, how?
Bryce Dallas Howard's comments to Collider highlight just how much Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has changed the universe of the franchise, and how different the threequel will be from anything we've seen before. While every other Jurassic Park movie ends with the human characters leaving the island, Fallen Kingdom allowed the genetically revived dinosaurs to join the human world. As Jeff Goldblum's Ian Malcolm narrates, the time has come for humans to live alongside their ancestors. And it's unclear how harmony could ever be reached.
Aside from seeing humans and dinos co-exist, Jurassic World 3 will also have another morally quandary to contemplate. Fallen Kingdom broke new ground by revealing that John Hammond's dinosaur reviving technology could be used for humans. Young Maisie Lockwood turned out to be a young clone, a revelation that is sure to be felt throughout the next film. Its this connection to the dinosaurs that convinces Maisie to set them free, and change the world in the process.
B.D. Wong's Henry Wu also took his technology during the events of Fallen Kingdom, so there will likely be more dinosaurs than the subjects that escaped the Lockwood Estate. There are a ton of threads for Colin Trevorrow to pull at with Jurassic World 3, so we'll have to see how it all shakes out.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has a ton of flaws that could have been straightened out in the script. It is not as great as Jurassic World, but I still had a lot of fun watching this movie. If anything, it is on par with The Lost World: Jurassic Park. While that movie was not amazing either, it was still just as fun and watchable as this movie.
